Today I would like to share with you a technique for making better decisions that was taught to me by my high school english teach Mrs. Meyers. She taught me the Rule of 5’s. The rule of 5’s is simply taking a look at any decision you are about to make and think about how it will affect you in 5 seconds, 5 minutes, 5 hours, 5 weeks, 5 months, and 5 years. If we take the time to see how each choice affects us and those around us both short and long term we are more apt to make decision that is more beneficial to helping us achieve our goals. Lets all take 5 to think about it.
